I’ve been a vegan … I’ve been a vegan for 11 months now and I lost 50lbs and I did NOT count calories or went on a weigh loss program whatsoever. I just ate vegan. and now I’m just 10lbs overweight unlike before I was 60 lbs overweight you’re totally right.
You are right on. … You are right on. Veganism can be a pure health related choice. The Western diet rich in dairy and beef increases your chances of obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, some cancers, and heart disease. It’s a plus to consider animal rights, but it’s not the primary reason people will choose to be vegan. US mass media is running interference for their major food sponsors. Even PBS is promoting fast foods and other unhealthy foods.

Any diet is gonna … Any diet is gonna help you lose weight (vegetarian, vegan, macrobiotic, low-carb, low-fat, you name it) because if you restrict your calories your body has to shed weight, DUH. There’s nothing magical about that. It’s the “eating less calories” part that’s gonna make you lose weight, not the “not eating animal products/eating 6 times a day/eating under 30% fat/whatever” . All of those diets are just caloric restriction in disguise.
Agree 100%. I … Agree 100%. I recently went vegan and now I consider carefully what I eat instead of eating junk. I don’t calorie count or anything, I just go for fruits or veggies and eat often as to keep hunger away. I feel like this lifestyle has cured all my food addictions and I have been losing weight steadily while still maintaining good energy levels.
=/ i’m pretty sure … =/ i’m pretty sure anyone could be a fat vegan…. u could just eat a lot of vegan sweets and carbs, ahahaha. BUT they r harder to come by, there for less temptation. THAT, and by making a choice to be vegan, u become more aware of what u need on a daily basis and think more about what u put in or mouth, which would also make one think twice about eating crap instead of nutrients =D
