@kimberlily1983 *Oops, that’s it would completely get rid of the craving… not “would it wouldn’t”, haha. Had to copy and paste from another box, reply to myself instead of original poster. The Youtube commenting boxes, etc. have been acting funny.

@kimberlily1983 …. and would it wouldn’t completely get rid of the beginning of the craving for that leftover bit of cheese in the fridge. That documentary affected me profoundly…

Now, almost 2 months later, as I’ve mentioned in another comment here, I have no cravings for cheese, or any other kind of animal product. It’s not food to me anymore.

@UcanbeGOD Completely agree. I was vegetarian for almost 9 years, and always thought, “Well, maybe someday I’ll go vegan…” The past year or two it’s been nagging at me more, “Well, I should really look into whether or not it’s the case that dairy is more ethical than meat…” Finally I watched this documentary, and after I said, “Never again.” I turned vegan then and there.

I loooved cheese before, but after seeing that all I could think about what was the animals go through….

@tiptiptapable It still seems that an ethical, environmentally friendly fake leather is at least theoretically possible, whereas there’s no such thing as ethical real leather. If people are interested in the look and feel of leather, they should look for environmentally sustainable and ethical types of fake leather. :)

Myself, I don’t care for the look, feel, etc. of it all that much. Too much like the real thing. Don’t care for fake cur collars, etc., either.

@theblue64 After awhile, I no longer thought of meat as food, and now that I’m vegan, I feel the same way about dairy and eggs. I used to be nuts about cheese, a mere couple of months ago, and now it turns my stomach a little. I walked past a pizza place the other day, and it smelled smoky and meaty, very unappetizing.

Now I need to get myself used to the fact that I can actually drink any leftover milk (soy!) in my cereal bowl. I detested the taste of cow’s milk, but soy is quite nice.

The only problem with non leather stuff is that some of it is damaging to the environment such as plastics/polyesters etc. so really it’s a hard game to win folks.

It happened quickly for me. If you haven’t seen the movie “Earthlings” you should see it, it will help you with you’re vegan goals. Just Google video Earthlings and you can watch the whole thing, its about an hour and a half I think. Good luck!

I’m trying to force myself to be a vegan. I’m trying to get my mind to think when I see meat, I see blood, flesh, a pig’s head or something. Btw, your vegan videos are amazing.
