@moltar2000 oh i see. yeah, was just curious about the effects. pills are something i refuse to recommend or take myself.
@iFashionSouthAfrica
a) not only, but mostly. there are still people left out there who survive by hunting only. There are people in the north who eat seal meat and fat primarily. they were in great health until modern diet was introduced, then they got all the same problems.
b) not directly, but the farm equipment kills a lot of them. we also take up their land for crops.
c) i can use the same argument for eating animals.
d) whats your point?
@riche22 iron deficiency, hormonal imbalance to say the least, and a bunch of other small side effects. if you gonna say just take pills, well, men aren’t supposed to take iron supps. the only way to restore it is by eating lots of meat.
It’s really not that hard to be a vegetarian >_>
So many things wrong with this I don’t have the time to write them all down.
@MrForkbeard I hate to knock a well intentioned post, but it’s also ill-informed. Your body is not a “calories in, calories out” kind of system. Your hormones dictate what those calories do depending on the source of those calories (protein, fat, carbohydrates). Your body can’t use fat or carbs to rebuild muscle, protein or carbs to lubricate joints, or protein or fat to replenish glycogen in your muscles. It’s not a matter of less calories. It’s a matter of the right ones.
I like this solution. I like meat and I don’t have any hang ups concerning plant products. I just dislike the idea of becoming vegetarian because I think it’s ridiculous, but this has all the right ideas.
@HugNow Please take some time off to cool down and relax. All you accomplish with these comments is to give non-believers a bad reputation. Disagree freely, but respond in a civilized manner.
@HugNow It’s just physically impossible to not lose weight if you have an energy input of zero. It’s not possible. You can’t create energy. It can only be converted. That’s a law of physics. And the way we humans convert energy is by eating food. Therefore it’s quite natural that what we eat makes difference to our total energy consumtion. If you don’t get any energy, you will lose weight. Period. Show me otherwise, please.
@HugNow As I said before, I’m from Sweden. Most swedes aren’t part of any religion. You’re just behaving more and more like the average youtuber. And could you please show me someone who don’t lose weight when taken to a concentration camp please? I mean, if it doesn’t matter how hard you train and what you eat, if you only have the genes. I’d actually pay to see a person like that.
@HugNow So you’re saying that no matter what you eat you WILL be fat if you have the genetics for it? That’s funny. Put one of those people in a concentration camps for jews and let’s see how fat they are afterwards, shall we?
And no. I don’t believe in God. I’m from Sweden you see. Most people here aren’t part of any religion. Nice to see that you’re mature enough to be able to have a conversation without telling someone to fuck off. Really mature.
@Zoidypoo89 people do not “let genetics”. Genetics are not something you “let” happen. Take your quack science to your fucking church, you religious idiot.
@Zoidypoo89 are you mentally retarded? please look up skinny gene on google. Now that I see you are mentioning GOD and how GOD made people I understand why you are not even worth arguing with. You’re a creationist lunatic. Fuck off.
@HugNow Look at what MrForkBeard has said. He’s got the right idea. “The key to a healthy diet is down to less calories, somewhat irrespective of diet.”
What you need to do is eat different sorts of food, both veggies and meat, and control your intake of calories. That’s it. No magic involved. It’s very simple
@HugNow Genetics only play a role in obesity because people let it. If the people who became obese (who I am absolutely certain lies quite often about how much they really eat) had a bit more discipline and ate less calories a day, they would also be thin. It’s all about energy in – energy out. There’s no point blaming God for how he made you. Go out and do something about your weight if you’re not satisfied. Jeez… It’s ALL about calories. No matter how easy you gain weight, or not.
Hardly a remarkable idea.
@Zoidypoo89 I’m hostile because you are denying the basic fucking fact that GENETICS play a huge role in obesity. Look up DR. JAMES WATSON
@7847949 why are you replying to me? I didn’t say meat is the cause of obesity, I said GENETICS is the big role. That’s why some heavy smokers don’t get cancer too. Not that smoking is good just because many people don’t get cancer from it though.
@HugNow
I have lots of Friends who never exercised ate hamburgers lived without heart attack and another friend lean running died in perfect health running How many senses you ned to see what is met and how much fat and fat .Even lean meat is advised not FATTY meat Common sense Just b/c we do eat meat does not mean we ate dead meat or rotten meat or fatty meat Its only y the fanatics who propagate extremism with such parables
@SecularSwede
In order to have BALNCE diet youneed to have proteinLentils Legumes Fruits And Vegetable are NOT high class protein Quality matters as you know This not to say dont eat fruits and vergetables Unfortunately Vegan are extremists.First class protein is es ential (Atkin Diet ).Antibodies Blood Plasma Subsitute for Harmfull to much Fat & carbohydrate .
@middlekk yea, like me, an animal
To get yourself started watch the must see documentary:
‘Earthlings’
If you don’t cut down on eating meat after that then….
When you monsterize the production of meat by feeding cattle corn and antibiotics with hundreds of thousands of cattle in a small space making them sick, you get poor quality meat. Eat poor quality meat with the over abundance of processed carbs and you get sick. Eat grass fed and patured meat (healthy meat that eats healthy food) and fruits and veggies and you will be healthy. It has worked for hundreds of thousands of years. Its really that simple.
Raw food can also contain toxins that are broken down with cooking. All these diets like paleo/raw/vegan etc are all just extremes and exdamples of groupthink and tribalism. Pointless
All these arguments in the comments section of “meat bad – veg good” are exactly the sort argument that muddies the field re: diet. As usual, moderation is key. People saying meat is bad for you, actually should be saying “too much meat is bad for you”. Likwise with the veggie side – raw food is not always good for you and is often quite bad – lots of fruits/veg need to be cooked to release various vitamins etc. The key to a healthy diet is down to less calories, somewhat irrespective of diet.
