@STANDUPTOCANCERNOW Thanks – I’m assuming those are compliments, anyway… Hummus is so versatile, hope you play around with some other flavor combos! I was making it at a friends’ this weekend who hadn’t labeled her spice jars yet, and we did a sniff test but couldn’t tell for sure which was cumin and which curry. Turned out we went for the curry, but it was kind of nice!

From what I can gather is that the Citrus are waxed even when labelled Organic – but on occasion you can find lemons labelled “not waxed”. The Organic produce are never waxed, but in most Supermarkets they usually are.
So I have a simple solution. I buy this inexpensive Hydrated Limestone powder from the hardware store & then I use Comet dish powder to rub on the fruit or veggy (takes a lot of rubbing) & then with the Hydrated Lime powder =Twice + rinse well under cold water.

@CatBornAgain Thanks for the tip – are absolutely all fruits waxed, or is there a way to tell if the ones in front of you are waxed?

You must remove the Petro-chemical waxes that coat nowdays our Citrus fruits.
I have ways of removing it with Comet, and Hydrated Lime.
