The name of the fun, back yard foodery is Mark’s Carts, more importantly The Lunch Room. They had comfortable sitting, music, and everyone was so nice. I knew I would like it before I even tried the food. In Mark’s Carts there is one place in particular that I wanted to try, because they are all about the vegan! Plus, they had vegan desserts, and that is right up my ally. I decided to try the Fruit and Coconut Milk Smoothie, Blackstrap Molasses Gingersnap, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookie. My Review of The Lunch Room Fruit and Coconut Milk Smoothie I don’t know how I would have made it back to my car alive without this smoothie. In exaggerated essence, I owe this fruit and coconut milk smoothie my life. It was tasty too. The strawberry and banana flavors were very pronounced, and it was just sweet enough but not too sweet. I didn’t feel heavy are weighed down at all and it didn’t send me on a sugar high. I would sooooo buy this again. I would also like to taste it in thicker, frosty form, YUM! Blackstrap Molasses Gingersnap This cookie had the classic snap of a Ginger Snap cookie. I love ginger and this cookie tasted just like gingerbread. As soon as I put it in my mouth, I could taste the aromatics. So good! Great cookie! A must buy . . .
Whole Foods Vegan No Sugar Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Review I really like oatmeal raisin cookies. So when I was gawking over the dessert counter at my local Whole Foods, I knew I had to have it! Now $. 99 is an attractive price, but for one cookie? I guess that’s about right, because Alternative Baking Company Cookies are a little more. I bit into the Whole Foods oatmeal raisin cookie full force as always, and it was pretty good. The actual cookie dough was sweet enough for me, but I have a pretty low sweetness threshold, believe it or not. To the average consumer who lives on high fructose corn syrup and aspartame, the no sugar cookie dough may be a little bland. But no worries, as soon as I bit into the raisins, sugary goodness exploded in my mouth. Plus, I could taste cinnamon and spice, and everything else nice about an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie (vegan and sugar free, or not). This cookie is perfect for me. Whole Foods got it right with this soft, fresh, delicious, and a healthy alternative cookie that I will most definitely purchase again.
