I receive emails all the time from people wondering how on earth I seem so happy & energetic all the time. Let me say that first of all that I’m not happy or energetic ALL the time, yet I probably have more natural energy than your average person. A big part of it has to do with my diet. I consume a mostly raw foods diet, high in fruits, veggies, sea vegetables, nuts, seeds, superfoods, etc. and have been maintaining this diet for the last 5 years. Before that, I was a vegetarian (born & raised) and still ate pretty healthy, but noticed the biggest transformation in my life when I got into eating mostly raw. To give you an idea of what I eat, I’ll letcha know first of all that I’m not fanatical. If if I feel like some yummy vegetarian Indian food like some chana masala or dal with naan, I’ll go for it! I usually have a craving for something like that Indian or Thai food once or twice a week. . . However most days I’m 100% raw, or fairly high raw just because that’s what my body craves, and that’s what allows me to THRIVE! To give you an idea the kinds of food I eat most days, I usually consume a green smoothie or 2, eat a huge green salad with romaine, baby spinach, tomato, cucumber, sprouts, avocados, nuts & seeds, etc. snack on fruit, goji berries, raw cacao truffles, cacao avocado pudding, etc. , if I’m in the mood for something a little heavier, I’ll make myself a raw soaked buckwheat cereal with almond milk or eat some sprouted bread, and of course make a HUGE glass of . . .
