In the Ojeda home, a typical lunch consists of cereal, a fried egg or a glass of milk. It gets better at school, where free cafeteria meals help Maria Ojeda feed her 8-year-old daughter, Reina. But in summer, the Riverside mother can usually muster only two meals a day for Reina and 3-year-old David because her husband was out of work for more than a year.
